We are Stewards
This Week in Lifegroups - Sunday October 12, 2025
On Sunday in our Revival and Reformation series, Mick Murray reminded us that God has made us His stewards and given each one of us a garden to cultivate for His glory. Your Lifegroup is one of those gardens. Marinate on these truths to shape the wav you live, love and lead this week:
1. You Are a Steward of Your Lifegroup, Not the Owner The people in your Lifegroup belong to God. He's entrusted them to you for a season. Your job isn't to build your group or make it successful by worldly standards. Your job is to faithfully manage what God has placed in your care and create space where His people can encounter Him and grow.
2. Leadership Means Creating Order So Life Can Flourish Just like a gardener prepares soil and pulls weeds, you're cultivating a community where your group members can thrive. Don't just let things happen. Steward the garden.
3. Lead from Security, Not Insecurity When you lead from insecurity, you'll control the conversation, dominate discussion, need to have all the answers, and feel threatened when others shine. But when you're secure in Christ, you can facilitate rather than control, develop others to lead and share, and celebrate when group members grow.
4. Model That All of Life Is Spiritual for Your Group Help people see that God cares about every garden He's placed them in, and challenge them to steward those spaces well.
5. Use Your Leadership Not to Be Served, But to Serve You have influence in your group. Lead like Jesus. Use your strength to serve, not to be served.

The discussion guide for this week will post here on Sunday after church.
We love you!
