Families of Promise on Mission Together
This Week in Lifegroups - Sunday February 8, 2026
This week, we had the privilege of hearing from Joe Ewen, one of our Board of Advisors and a key prophetic voice of the Antioch Movement.
His message reminds us that God's promises and purposes for our lives have no expiration date. Drawing from the life of Abraham, who was called by God at age 75, the sermon challenges us to believe that we are heirs of a promise that stretches to the ends of the earth. Whether we are young or old, God still has a significant role for each of us in His kingdom work.
Three truths are highlighted in this message:
Through Christ, we are Abraham's seed and heirs.
Our unity is essential, as division hinders what God wants to accomplish.
Unity fuels our involvement and we must not hold back but go further in faith.
Here are 3 truths from the message to strengthen your leadership this week:
1. We are heirs of God's promise through Christ, regardless of our age or stage in life.
Just as God called Abraham at age 75 and gave him promises that stretched to the ends of the earth, God still has a significant purpose for each of us today.
2. Unity is essential for experiencing God's power and commanded blessing.
Division prevents miracles and hinders what God wants to accomplish, as seen in the examples where unbelief and conflict stopped God from moving powerfully.
3. We must not hold back but press on to go further in our faith.
Like drilling 300 feet to hit the gusher of water, we are called to persevere and not be distracted, believing we are on the verge of breakthrough and multiplication in what God wants to do.
