Every Lifegroup moves through seasons. Use this tool to help understand the season your Lifegroup is in, and what growth looks like:

Three Common Seasons of a Lifegroup

• Starting Up / Planting / Replanting (new or stagnant group)

  • Establish core leadership team.

  • Review core values

  • Shape unified vision bigger than just your group

  • Build community through intentional relationship building

  • Identify people you will be reaching out to

• Building Up (Healthy Growing Group)

  • Cast vision for spiritual and missional growth regularly

  • Develop discipleship relationships in your group. This is key at this stage.

  • Keep outward focus on reaching others

  • Follow up on guests from Sunday services

  • Develop evangelism strategy for your sphere

• Planting / Multiplying

  • Work with your section leaders on Identifying and meet with emerging leaders. These are ones who have been making disciples.

  • Develop a shared vision for planting a new group.

  • Set date with section leaders to plant new Lifegroup

  • Discuss the whys of multiplication

  • Train new leaders for upcoming groups

  • Plant and celebrate new group.
